Bruce Watson is an icon and longtime favourite of the Australian folk scene. Based in Melbourne, he performs around Australia and internationally at festivals, clubs and other venues. He has produced eight albums of original songs and has collaborated with singer-songwriters Wendy Ealey and Moira Tyers in the audio-visual theme concert presentations, Unsung Heroes of Australian History.
His performances are joyful and thoroughly engaging, with witty lyrics and energetic presentation, but also the power to move audiences to tears. He is a masterful craftsman of songs, be they evocative and heart wrenching, or side-splittingly funny. He never fails with his songs to uplift, enthuse and generally give his audiences a good time. Humour and pathos go hand in hand with this guy, don’t miss him.
