Ben Paley

Ben Paley – LARKINS’ ALEHOUSE SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER – 12:30PM

Since he was born, fiddler Ben Paley has been steeped in traditional music. Son of the legendary Tom Paley, his main early influences were American, and since then he has become deeply involved with the Irish, Swedish and English traditions, writing a popular book about Swedish music.

Ben has worked with all sorts of artists; the Levellers, Murray Lachlan Young, McDermott’s 2 Hours, Bonnie Dobson, Duck Baker, Maggie Boyle, Jim Kweskin, Fay Hield, the Long Hill Ramblers, and Sara Grey & Kieron Means, among others. Recently he’s been touring solo in the US and the UK, inviting audiences to share his love of all these influences: songs and tunes from his father’s repertoire, the British Isles, Scandinavia and further afield.
